Bob is an English Bulldog. I’ve tried taking photos of him before and noticed he can be quite shy and untrusting. According to his owners, Bob acts aggressive towards cameras. So, I approached it differently. Using treats to associate the camera as a “good” thing, he very quickly understood that there was clearly no threat, and if he posed for me he’d get love and treats. What’s not to gain in that situation? Thank you, Bob.

This is Mama. She is approximately 2 years old and formerly from the Brooklyn streets of Bed-Stuy. I picked her up and brought her into the store in November 2008. She spends her days sunbathing in the hot afternoon sun that pours through the glass entrance. She’ll let you pet her, to a point, and then she’ll slap you. She’s loved by some, hated by most, feared by all. Bottom line: She’s a bitch with a great life. Gotta love her.

Jake, the Brussels Griffon, and Jobo the American Staffordshire Bull Terrier meet on the sidewalk outside of 33rd and 3rd in Manhattan. Jake is not afraid of this intimidating (but playful and sweet) mass of muscle. Jobo is only 18 months old here. Jake is older than him.
